This August BaseCon is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. The company was born from the emerging demands for electronic submission through E2b, and has since 1999 supplied the pharmaceutical industry with easy to use drug safety and pharmacovigilance tools. BaseCon has developed steadily from being a small scale company with a few clients into an effective international supplier with more than 50 clients and partners worldwide. The demand for cost effective and flexible drug safety solutions has never been bigger. Numerous pharma- and biotech companies are constantly emerging in this quickly expanding market. As of June 1, 2008 BaseCon A/S has a full time, dedicated, Director of Quality Assurance with 15 years of experience within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries from the U.S. and Europe. Arjuna Fernando has previously designed, developed, and implemented Quality Systems at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in Europe conforming to US-FDA and EMEA GxP regulations and guidelines. He also has experience with validation of computer control systems (software/hardware) and auditing validation documentation associated with computer control systems used in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Arjuna Fernando will use his experience and knowledge to upgrade BaseCon’s existing Quality System, as well as use his knowledge gained in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries to advise BaseCon A/S on future development of products and services to the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. |

BaseCon is proud to announce the release of two new user-friendly software modules. The two new modules will make life in a Drug Safety organisation much easier. CaseBase Management is a flexible and easy-to-use Case Management system. The users can create and assign tasks and receive graphical workload and deadline overviews.
